Festival of the Arts

Do you enjoy expressing yourself through a creative project? Are you someone who enjoys looking at art and appreciates the beauty and message in a piece of art?  Is your dance or music organization in search of an audience? The Loch Raven Festival of the Arts is a free annual event of art enrichment for all ages for showcasing and viewing artworks, dance and music.

The 5th Annual Free Loch Raven Festival of the Arts will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016.

  • 1pm - View art on display. Children of all ages, adults, too, attending can create a holiday craft.

  • 2pm - A Community Sing-a-long of Christmas selections from Handel’s "Messiah".

  • Attend to join in the singing and if not a singer, attend to listen and enjoy the beautiful music.
There is no charge for this arts event. We are asking people planning to attend to consider bringing a can of vegetables, fruits, soup or other canned food item as this Festival will be serving as a collection event of canned foods for the Assistance Center of Towson.

  • For groups of 10 or more planning to attend, email tnhedutainment@aol.com to reserve seating.

If you are an artist or musician, children or adult, from beginner skill level to advanced, and would like to showcase your art works and musical talents, please email tnhedutainment@aol.com

SATB Soloists (non paid) are needed for this "Messiah" event. For more information and to schedule an audition, please email tnhedutainment@aol.com

Mark your calendars to join in the enjoyment of the beautiful music, the fellowship of the season, and the mission of assisting those in need as canned goods are collected at this event.

This celebration was created in 2012 as an outreach program of Loch Raven UM Church:

  • To provide local artists the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents.

  • To provide a local opportunity to launch the holiday season.

  • To provide support of local service organizations such as the Towson Assistance Center through donations of canned goods or other items being accepted at the event that will assist families in need during the holiday season.

  • To recognize LRUMC’s 60 years of community service.
